2014 was a banner year for APIs. Mobile APIs took center stage, with Google and Apple providing a number of new SDKs and significant updates to existing SDKs. Not to be outdone, Facebook and Twitter also released several intriguing APIs. In this report we offer up our picks for the year's highlights, based on the popularity of the APIs' respective libraries and their potential business value.
