Griffin's Guide Uses Magnetic Building Blocks To Snag Your Cables

Griffin's Guide Uses Magnetic Building Blocks To Snag Your Cables

Wireless protocols like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RF, Z-Wave, and NFC have made our lives a little more cable-free, but we're not clear of the tangles just yet. Odds are your desk is still covered in power and sync cables for laptops, smartphones, and tablets. And while Griffin's new Guide doesn't eliminate them, it can ensure they always stay in easy reach and never accidentally slide off your desk.

Available sometime in the second quarter of 2015, the base version of the Guide will start at $30 and includes a heavy steel base plus three magnetic pieces in varying shapes that can be custom-arranged to secure cables of various shapes and sizes. A single Guide will ensure your cables don't mysteriously end up on the floor, but multiple Guides can be used to route those same cables across your desk to help keep your workplace tidy and prevent your wiring from becoming an untangleable mess.
